B-King Installation Instructions for:
- Frame Sliders
- Fork Sliders
- Swingarm spools
WARNING: The installation of all parts in these installation instructions must be performed by a qualified motorcycle mechanic who is using the correct tools and who understands the correct use of all tools required to complete the installation.
Frame Sliders
NOTE: These sliders attach directly to the engine mounts of the bike and require no modifications or cutting of the body
pieces.
The right side of the bike is the side with the throttle, and the left side of the bike is the side with the clutch lever.
1. Locate the upper engine mounts in the frame of the bike; they are totally exposed on both sides of the bike.
2. Install one slider at a time- do not loosen both engine mounts at the same time.
3. Starting with the right side, loosen (counter-clockwise rotation when viewed from the side of the bike) the factory engine mount screw and remove it from the engine mount.
4. For the right side, select the shortest of the two sliders. WARNING: THE WASHER MUST BE ON THE SCREW BEFORE INSTALLING THE SLIDERS
5. Place the slider over the mounting point and insert the screw through the slider and the engine mount, then turn the screw clockwise. You should
feel the threads of the screw engage the threads of the engine mount. There should be little resistance until the screw
head contacts the aluminum spacer inside the slider. DO NOT use an impact gun or an air wrench to install the
sliders.
6. Torque the screws to the factory torque specification (same as factory screw).
7. For the left side, use the longest of the two sliders. Repeat the steps used for the right side.
If you damage one frame slider in a crash or drop, you can order just the side you need on this site
Fork Sliders
Note: This set is installed with the front axle and axle bolt in the normal position.
1. Apply medium strength threadlocker compound to the left side mounting screw, which is the
shortest of the two screws in the set.
2. Install the left side axle slider (long slider) onto the shaft and lightly tighten with a 5mm hex wrench.
3. Insert slider and shaft assembly into the axle from the left side.
4. Apply medium threadlocker compound to the long screw and insert through the right side slider. While holding the
left side slider firmly in place by hand, insert the screw through the axle bolt and carefully start the right side screw into
the shaft. It may take some careful positioning of the shaft to get the threads started into the shaft.
5. Once the screw has been started and confirmed that proper thread engagement was made, lightly torque the right
side.
6. Final tighten the left side screw with light torque.
Important: Do not over tighten the left or right side screw.
Swingarm Spools
1. Locate the swingarm spool mounting point on the bottom side of the swingarm near the rear axle.
2. Add a small amount of blue threadlocker onto the supplied screw.
3. Tighten the screw using a 6mm Allen wrench and medium torque.
