If you damage a frame slider in a crash or by dropping the bike, you can replace just the side you need without purchasing the entire set. The side is as viewed by sitting on the bike, so left is clutch lever side, and right is throttle side.
You can get the slider without the bracket if the bracket did not get damaged.
