Honda 929/954 Frame Slider Installation Instructions
WARNING: The installation of all parts in these installation instructions must be performed by a qualified motorcycle mechanic who is using the correct tools and who understands the correct use of all tools required to complete the installation.
1. Start on the right side of the bike (do not loosen both sides at once) by removing the engine mount
screw. This is the screw that goes through the frame and into the side of the engine- it is visible through the
opening in the side fairing.
VERY IMPORTANT: THE FACTORY HONDA SPACER AT THE ENGINE MOINT POINT SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED IF THE KIT IS TO FIT CORRECTLY. THE SPACER IS ABOUT 10MM THICK AND MUST REMAIN IN PLACE. IF THE SPACER IS MISSING, FIND A REPLACEMENT BEFORE PROCEEDING.
2. The slider for the right side is slightly shorter than the left slider. Install the frame slider using the
supplied screw. WARNING: THE WASHER MUST BE ON THE SCREW BEFORE INSTALLING THE SLIDERS
3. Using a torque wrench, tighten to the factory torque specification (same as factory screw).
4. Make sure the right side is tight before starting on the left side.
5. For the left side, use the same procedure- remove the engine mount screw and install the longer frame
slider using the same torque as the right side.
Any problems with the installation should be addressed by contacting us- we will be glad to help.
If one side is damaged in a crash or drop, we offer single side replacements, instead of buying a complete set.
