09-11 BMW S1000RR Installation Instructions
WARNING: The installation of all parts in these installation instructions must be performed by a qualified motorcycle mechanic who is using the correct tools and who understands the correct use of all tools required to complete the installation.
Tools you will need:
Torque wrench
Ratchet
Short extension
8mm Hex (Allen) driver
1. Start on the right side of the bike by removing the engine mount screw that is visible in the cowl opening in the side fairing.
2. The left side uses the longest of the two sliders. The screw must have one lock washer and one flat washer on it. Put the lock washer on the screw first, then the flat washer.
3. Insert the screw through the slider and hand tighten the screw into the engine mount where the factory screw was removed. Confirm the screw does not bind and has plenty of engagement. WARNING: THE WASHERS MUST BE ON THE SCREW BEFORE INSTALLING THE SLIDERS
4. Tighten the screw to the factory torque specification (same as factory screw).
5. Repeat the procedure on the left side.
- The OES logos can be replaced by contacting us.
- Sliders can be replaced per side needed on our website.
