04-09 Yamaha FZ-6 Frame Slider Installation Instructions

1.        Start on the right side of the bike (do not loosen both sides at once) by removing the engine mount
screw circled in the illustration (A)
2.        The sliders and supplied mounting screws are the same length for each side. Lightly lubricate (any
type of automotive grease or oil will work) the supplied screw threads. Install the frame slider using the
supplied screw.
3.        If using a torque wrench, tighten bolt to 35 lb/ft.
4.        Make sure the right side is tight before starting on the left side.
5.        For the left side, use the same procedure- remove the engine mount screw circled in the illustration
(B) and install frame slider in this position.
6.   Problems or hang ups with the installation should be addressed by giving us a call. A simple call may
help avoid frustration.

Special Notes:

* Depending on the climate conditions in which you ride or store your motorcycle, some surface rust may
appear on the heads of the frame slider mounting screws. To prevent surface rust on the frame slider
screws, apply a light coat of grease or WD-40 on the screws.

* Use an automotive wax or polish on your OES frame sliders to maintain the factory shine and finish of the
Delrin.

* If you have a crash and damage one side, you can purchase just the side you need by contacting us or by
purchasing directly from our website.
