09-11 BMW S1000RR Installation Instructions
Tools You Will Need:
-Ratchet
-Short Extension
-8mm Hex (Allen) Driver
1. Start on the left side of the bike by removing the engine mount screw that is visible in the cowl opening in the side
fairing.
2. The left side uses the longest of the two sliders. Add a small amount of grease or oil to the threads of the
supplied mounting screw. The screw must have a flat washer and lock washer.
3. Insert the screw through the slider and hand tighten the screw. Confirm that the screw does not bind and has
plenty of engagement.
4. Final tighten the screw. If using a torque wrench, tighten to the factory specification.
5. Repeat the procedure on the right side.
- Use an automotive wax or polish on your sliders to maintain the factory shine. The slider material is subject to UV
damage and waxing will help minimize the effect if the bike is stored outside.
- The OES labels can be replaced- please contact us and we'll be glad to send new ones at no charge.
- Sliders can be replaced per side in the event of a crash.
