2006-2009 Yamaha FZ-1 Frame Sliders Installation
Tools you will need:
* ratchet and short extension
* 12mm socket
* 8mm hex driver
Both frame sliders and mounting screws are identical for this model.
1. Start on either side of the bike by removing the engine mount screw using 12mm socket and ratchet. Remove
only one side at a time.
2. Lightly lubricate the supplied screw threads. Install the frame slider and supplied screw using the 8mm hex
driver with the ratchet and short extension. If using a torque wrench, tighten bolt to 30 ft/lbs.
3. After the first side is tightened, repeat steps 1-2 for the other side.
You can keep the factory shine of your OES Frame Sliders by using a wax or polish on them when cleaning the
bike- we use a liquid polish on them prior to shipping.
A single side can be purchased if damaged in a crash. Purchase here on our site.
