04-05 GSX-R 600/750, 05-06, 07-08 GSXR1000 FRAME SLIDER
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: These sliders attach directly to the motor mounts of the bike and require no modifications or cutting of the
fairings.
The right side of the bike is the side with the throttle, and the left side of the bike is the side with the clutch lever.
1. Locate the forward motor mounts in the frame of the bike; they are visible through the vent holes on both sides
of the bike.
2. Install one slider at a time- do not loosen both motor mounts at the same time.
3. Loosen (counter-clockwise rotation when viewed from the side of the bike) the factory motor mount bolt and
remove it from the motor mount; do not loosen the pinch bolt on the frame.
4. For the right side, select the shortest of the two sliders and verify it has the correct bolt in place.
*The 04-05 GSXR 600/750 uses the 90mm bolt on the right side
*The 05-06 GSXR 1000 uses the 90mm bolt on the right side
*The 07-08 GSXR 1000 uses the 90mm bolt on the right side
5. Lightly lubricate (any type of automotive grease or oil will work) the supplied bolt threads. Place the slider over
the mounting point and insert the bolt through the slider and the motor mount, then turn the bolt clockwise. You
should feel the threads of the bolt engage the threads of the motor mount. There should be little resistance until
the bolt head contacts the aluminum spacer inside the slider.
6. If using a torque wrench, torque bolts to 38 ft lbs. If you do not have a torque wrench, use a ½”-drive ratchet
and apply moderate forces; do not use a breaker bar to tighten the bolts.
7. For the left side, use the longest of the two sliders and verify the correct bolt is in place
*The 04-05 GSXR 600/750 uses the 100mm bolt on the left side
*The 05-06 GSXR 1000 uses the 100mm bolt on the left side
*The 07-08 GSXR 1000 uses the 90mm bolt on the left side
Repeat steps 3,5, and 6 to install the left side
To maintain the factory shine of your OES frame sliders, we recommend using an automotive wax or polish on
them regularly.
If you damage one slider in a crash or drop, you can order just the side you need on our website.
