03-05 R6, 06-09 R6S Clutch Slider Installation
Tools/Items you will need:
Breaker bar or large ratchet
27mm socket
22mm socket
Extension for ratchet/ socket
Torque wrench
Medium strength thread locker (loctite)
1. Locate the nut for the swingarm pivot bolt on the right side of the bike. It is a 27mm nut just forward of the right
side peg bracket.
2. Using a breaker bar or large ratchet and the 27mm socket, remove the nut by turning it counter-clockwise.
3. Add a small amount of medium strength thread locker to the pivot threads.
4. Leaving the factory washer in place, install the clutch slider onto the swingarm pivot bolt. The slider uses a
22mm fastener, so use the 22mm socket and extension to hand tighten the slider.
5. Using a torque wrench with the 22mm socket and extension, tighten the clutch slider to 59 ft/lbs.
